Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Required- Bradford (BD5)
Are you a qualified HLTA who is looking for a new position?
I am currently looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to supervise classes and deliver prepared lessons in the absence of a class teacher. Some teaching experience would be advantageous but is not essential, although you must be confident with classroom behaviour management.
You must be approachable, friendly, and have a sympathetic manner and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and know when to listen, when to challenge and when to signpost.
This school is a larger than average mixed primary school in Bradford. It currently has 300 pupils on role and is proud to become one of the more sought after primary schools in Bradford. The school is 10 minutes away from the M606 motorway and has great transport links.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking of applying for a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Supervising work that has been set in accordance to the School policies
Dealing with queries from pupils
Dealing appropriately with any immediate problems or emergencies
Collecting competed work after the lesson and leaving any feedback necessary for the absent teacher.
