Supply Desk is seeking an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a year 5 pupil in a mainstream setting. You will be working to improve approaches to learning, support involvement in main class activities and working one to one basis to progress challenging behaviour and to support learning.
You will need experience of working with challenging behaviour and have developed skill in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will have experience of working with parents and other agency workers.
The Role:
Working with challenging behaviour
Working across teams to promote a secure learning environment for all
Supporting a pupil on a one to one basis, with involvement in some wider group work
Keeping parents informed of pupil progression or issues as they arise
The Person:
Committed to the development and progress of pupils with challenging behaviour
Proven experience in working with EBD pupils in a primary setting
Experience in dealing with external agencies
