Behaviour Support Assistant
Supply Desk is working with a Pupil Referral unit based in Horam/Heathfield, who are currently looking for a Behaviour Mentor/Learning Support Assistant.
The PRU itself caters to pupils in KS3 and KS4, they aim for the young people to lead happy and prosperous lives and they promote this by helping them to develop the skills to move successfully along their life journeys.
We are looking to arrange interviews as soon as possible so check the below criteria to see if you would be suitable.
In this role, you will be working with pupils offering 1:1 support both inside and outside the classroom setting. Due to the nature of the position you must have strong behaviour management skills and able to adapt to any situation.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a similar role working with challenging behaviour is essential.
- Qualifications advantageous
- Sports background (desirable)
- Available full-time and immediate start.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Team Teach and/or physical restraint training (highly desirable)
To be a successful candidate you will need to have a background working with pupils in a similar role such as; a sports coach, teaching assistant, youth worker or residential care worker with vulnerable pupils who may have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues.

Salary: £60.00 to £85.00 /day
