Behaviour Support Learning Mentors in Hampshire Primary Schools
Supply Desk are proud to be in partnership with the Hampshire Supply Service and supporting over 700 schools across the county. There are over 400 primary schools in Hampshire including areas such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover and many more. We are looking for Behaviour Support Learning Mentors to start on part time and full time basis over the course of this term. With the current pandemic we have requests with schools for people that can be flexible to suit their timetables.
The role will be to address the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential or accessing the curriculum.
You will be predominantly education based but will have a wider remit including working with families and the wider community. You will work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups, acting as a:
- Facilitator for learning
- Role model
Core Purpose :
- Work with children whose behaviour and disaffection has significant impact upon their attainment
- Support the ethos of the school
- Improve pupil progress and achievement by helping to minimise barriers to learning and maximise pupil participation
