About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join our dedicated team in RCT. The successful candidate will bring chemistry to life in the classroom, engaging students with the wonders of the chemical sciences and encouraging them to develop a deep understanding of the subject. This role involves delivering dynamic and curriculum-aligned lessons that promote scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and a passion for discovery. You will play a key role in nurturing a new generation of scientific minds, fostering an environment where students feel empowered to explore and question.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons across all key stages, aligned with the Curriculum for Wales.
- Engage students in practical experiments and real-world applications of chemistry to reinforce theoretical concepts.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
- Contribute actively to the school community by participating in science fairs, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry and a thorough understanding of the Curriculum for Wales. Ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to student development, and a talent for making complex topics accessible and engaging.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in Chemistry.
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and current assessment standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A dedication to promoting scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and lifelong learning.
