Becoming a cover supervisor is a great way of gaining experience in the classroom if you are looking to pursue a career in teaching. By working as a cover supervisor you will be responsible for delivering lessons, following planning left by a subject specialist teacher. There will be no planning or marking involved but you do get the experience of understanding how it feels to deliver a lesson as a teacher!
I am looking to recruit dedicated cover supervisors across Newport and the surrounding areas – whether you are looking for a full time, part time or flexible role, we would love to hear from you and help you to progress forward in your career.
What you’ll need to succeed
- At least 6 weeks experience working with children desirable
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Be educated to degree level
- EWC registration or willing to apply
- Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
