Pay: Competitive, based on experience, within MPS/UPS scale

The Role:

As a Drama Teacher, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Plan and teach dynamic and engaging lessons across KS3 to KS5 to inspire students to explore their creative potential and develop performance skills.
  • Lead and coordinate extracurricular activities, including school productions and drama performances.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate and grow in their love for drama.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS and has a strong teaching background in Drama.
  • Demonstrates creativity and passion in lesson delivery.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to motivate students.
  • Passionate about making drama enjoyable and accessible for all students.
  • Able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning styles and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Engaging Drama Lessons: Teach students from KS3 to KS5, ensuring each lesson is interactive and inspires student creativity.
  • Lesson Planning and Preparation: Design inclusive and exciting lessons that cater to various learning styles and foster student engagement.
  • Lead Drama Productions: Take a lead role in coordinating school drama performances and extracurricular drama activities, bringing the school’s drama culture to life.
