Supply Desk are currently working with several ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rated schools across the Manchester and Greater Manchester area. The schools are looking for Early Years general teaching assistants to work with a class of around 30 pupils. You would be expected to integrate well with the pupils, helping with play-time and meal times, and working with children who are lower in their reading abilities.

Job Description

  • Early Years general teaching assistant
  • Class of around 30 pupils
  • Working alongside class teacher to develop daily plans
  • Helping with play-time and meal times
  • Working with lower ability pupils when necessary

The Ideal Candidate

  • Calm and nurturing approach
  • A genuine desire to work with younger children
  • Previous experience within an educational or care setting desirable, but not essential
  • Have a proactive approach to children’s learning
  • Passionate about making a difference
