English role for excellent school in Bournemouth

Outstanding School in Bournemouth seeking a full time English teacher from January 2019 for long term maternity cover  

Pay – To Scale

Location – Bournemouth

Hours – 8am – 4pm

Starting from ASAP – Christmas 2019

About the Role:

You will be teaching English in Key Stage 3 and 4. The timetable for the role is around 20 English lessons a week with time allowed for planning. The school are looking for an English teacher with excellent knowledge and the ability to build a great rapport with students and colleagues. You will be a positive person who will be fully committed to the role and be a real team player. This is a long term contract so the school are looking for someone that will fully integrate in to the schools daily culture. The school has a very supportive English department that supports each other well. The classes in the school are well behaved with a high percentage of high ability students.

The school is a Secondary school based close to central Bournemouth. The school is Ofsted graded as an Outstanding School and comes with an excellent reputation and continues to perform highly. In the schools last GCSE results, 85% of students achieved a 9-4 grade in English and Maths.   • Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
  • Be a committed team player
  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Be confident and adaptive to different environments
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Have either NQT or QTS status
