FT English role on Isle of Wight
Supply Desk are working with a Academy school on the Isle of Wight that are looking for a full time English teacher after from September for a temporary to permanent contract

Start date: 2nd September 2019
Hours: 8am to 4pm
About the Role:
The role will be full time covering English for a long term maternity starting from September. The school are looking to make the position permanent for the right teacher. You will have full responsibilities such as planning and marking, and will have full support from the English department. The timetable for this role is 18 hours a week and will be covering the AQA syllabus. You will also have a few KS3 Media lessons on the timetable. The school are happy to help provide support for this. The school are ideally looking for a fully qualified English teacher, however they will strongly consider unqualified English teachers that have strong subject knowledge for English and good classroom management. The school strongly encourages English NQT’s to apply for the role.

The school is based close to Newport on the Isle of Wight and is a mixed school for students aged from 11 to 18 years with around 1,500 students. The school is a Good school and has some of the best results on the Island for English with students exceeding all expectations once again in 2017’s GCSE results, with the School continuing to build on its reputation for excellence.
