Full time Geography Role in Gosport

Supply Desk are seeking a full time Geography teacher for a Secondary School based close to Gosport starting from September on a temporary to permanent contract

Pay: M1 to M6

Location: Gosport

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Start date: September 2nd 2019 (Temporary to Permanent contract for right teacher)

About the Role

The role will be full time teaching Geography in Key Stage 3 and 4. The timetable will be around 18 Geography lessons a week with a few History lessons in the timetable too. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge and good classroom management skills. The Geography department is very supportive and  work closely together. The school will strongly consider Geography  NQT’s and experienced teachers for this role that have experience teaching Geography in Secondary Schools and the right qualities needed. The school are looking to make this role permanent for the right teacher.

The school is based is Gosport and is a Secondary Academy school for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1200 students. The school aims to become an outstanding school by creating an environment which is safe and happy, where the students can actively engage in their learning. The school demands high standards of behaviour and respect; and have the expectation that every student will succeed and flourish in the schools environment.

The ideal candidate will:

Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
Be a committed team player
Proven track record of raising attainment
Be confident and adaptive to different environments
Have strong classroom management skills
Have either NQT or QTS status
