Full time Geography Role in Southampton
Supply Desk are seeking a full time Geography teacher for a Secondary School based close to Eastleigh starting from September
(Temporary to Permanent contract)
Pay – To Scale
Location – Eastleigh
Hours – 8am – 4pm
Start date: September 2nd 2019 (Temporary to Permanent contract for right teacher)
About the Role
The role will be full time teaching Geography in Key Stage 3 and 4. The timetable will be around 18 Geography lessons a week with a few History lessons in the timetable too. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge and good classroom management skills. The Geography department is very supportive and work closely together. The school will strongly consider Geography NQT’s for this role that have experience teaching some Geography in Secondary Schools. The school are looking to make this role permanent for the right teacher.

The school is a mixed Academy school based in Eastleigh with easy access for those travelling from Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester. The school has around 650 students aged from 11 – 16 years. The School is a small Community School that welcomes its students and staff. As a community School it believes in lifelong learning and personal achievement for students and for its teachers too. The school is Ofsted graded as a Good school and continues to perform highly in their GCSE’s.

- Be confident and adaptive to different environments
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Have either NQT or QTS status
