Due to a huge increase in demand from our Torfaen schools, I am looking to recruit Geography specialists to start work immediately in secondary schools across Torfaen and the surrounding areas as unqualified/cover teachers. As a Geography subject specialist, this is the main subject you will be asked to cover. However, there will also be some general cover required which will help you gain subject knowledge across a range of topics.
By working as a cover supervisor you will be responsible for delivering lessons, following planning left by a subject specialist teacher. There will be no planning or marking involved but you do get the experience of understanding how it feels to deliver a lesson as a teacher!
Your role will initially be covering day to day and short term positions in schools as an unqualified teacher to ensure that pupils receive a consistently high level of education in a safe and stimulating learning environment.

What you’ll need to succeed
- At least 6 weeks experience working with children desirable
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Be educated to degree level
- EWC registration or willing to apply
- Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
- Access to own vehicle desirable
