Supply Desk are looking to recruit a Geography Teacher for a medium sized and vibrant secondary school in the Slough area. Due to the Humanities department structure, they can be flexible and accommodate for a geography teacher on a full or part time basis. The school has evidenced rapid improvement in recent years and are seeking teacher who have a genuine passion for teaching and can contribute to the schools continuing success and raising attainment levels.
Your role as a Secondary Geography Teacher would involve ensuring that students received a consistently high standard of education. You will need excellent classroom management skills and a thorough knowledge of the current National Curriculum. You will encourage positive student development and monitor their progression. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable skills or build upon existing experience in an education setting. We welcome applications from experienced secondary teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers alike.
As a minimum, you will be teaching geography to KS3 and KS4 and be able to assume full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience teaching in a secondary school
- Energetic and positive attitude
- QTS or equivalent/ PGCE
- Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
