Humanities Teacher

Job Title: Humanities Teacher KS3/KS4

Location: Rochester, Kent

Contract: Full-Time, Long Term

Start: ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Humanities, and/or Religious Studies at the KS3 and KS4 level. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in the exploration of the humanities, fostering their curiosity about the world around them and helping them develop essential skills for their academic and personal growth.

Key Role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the humanities department.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and success of the school community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects at the KS3 and KS4 level, with a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Right to work in UK
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
