A primary school in the area of Manchester, M23 are looking to recruit an intervention teacher, the role of an intervention teacher within Lower Key Stage 2 would be to go on for the rest of the academic year. As an intervention teacher, you would be working with small groups of children in year 3 & 4 to support them with core subjects (before & after school included). There would be a big focus on Maths and English.
This primary school is looking to appoint a KS2 intervention teacher for an ongoing contract to start in March 2021. Supporting pupil premium children with their learning gap. Whilst, also working PPA cover across the year groups. As such experience with year 3/4 would be great and experience teaching across KS1 and KS2 preferable. Students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, therefore a teacher with an engaging and inclusive approach would suit this role and school environment. The school is very ambitious and high achieving but has a really supportive culture and the school has a great reputation for providing great ongoing CPD plans.
If you have experience supporting with Maths, English & Interventions within a primary school or secondary school previously, you would be welcomed to apply.
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (UK QTS)
- Experience working in Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility
- Be up to date with the curriculum
- Highly motivated and driven to exceed expectations
