Key Stage Two Teaching Assistant- Oldham

A Client School in Oldham have come to Supply Desk with a view to their requirement for a full time Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to start in September for the full academic year.

The role will be based within Key Stage with flexibility of Year group to be discussed at interview. At present the role will be based in Lower KS2, however any candidates with experience in other areas of the school are encouraged to apply.

As a general Teaching assistant in this school you are expected support the class Teacher throughout the day with numerous activities including delivering an English and Maths Intervention outside of the classroom to a small group of identified children and this takes place during the morning session. The afternoon session varies depending on the week, but this will be planned by the Teacher and you will be told in advance of the expectation in the afternoon.

During the summer term is a crucial time of the Year especially for upper KS2 so some flexibility may be required as there may be an expectation to help within Year 6 to ensure all children are making progress.

The school is located in Oldham and has recently been graded good by OFSTED with the report mentioning the positive direction the school is moving in. Behaviour of the pupils is said to be good throughout the school also with pupils keen to learn.

Candidates with experience within school are encouraged to reply as well as candidates with Degrees and also qualifications in being a Teaching Assistant.
