KS1 Behaviour Support Assistant
KS1 Behaviour Support Assistant Required for a Southampton Primary School, – January Start
Working with a KS1 Boy with Behavioural Needs and Traits of Autism
I am currently working in close partnership with a “Good” Primary School in Southampton. With inclusion and support at the centre of what the school pride themselves on, they are actively looking to recruit a teaching assistant that can support behaviour and inclusion within their KS1 Department. As a KS1 behaviour support assistant, you would be expected to support, engage and inspire learning on a 1:1 basis. Sports coaches looking to transition into primary school support roles would be encouraged to apply.
– Behaviour Support with KS1 Children
– Working with challenging behaviours
– Sports Coaches
– Care Workers
– Social Workers
– Community and Youth Workers
– Salary – £11,000 – £13,000
This primary school in the Southampton provide a creative and independent environment for learning and are considered “Good” and their children make good progress. They proudly show core values of inclusion, friendship, responsibility and making good choices to name a few and as a result of this, any future behaviour support assistants would be welcomed in with open arms. With great facilities in the nurture areas of school, you would have access to great spaces to aid learning and inclusion.
You would be working very closely with the SENCO and inclusion team to help support behaviour in Key Stage 1 in particular, however there is scope to support behaviour and autism in other areas of school too.
Community and Youth Workers along with sports coaches looking to transition into primary schools would be welcomed to apply as their transferrable skill sets have worked in school previously.
