Maths Intervention Teacher
Supply Desk are recruiting for Maths intervention Teachers for schools in East Sussex.
Following the recent government announcement of schools receiving an additional £1 billion of funding for catch up programmes, Supply Desk are anticipating a high demand for Mathematics Intervention Teachers from our East Sussex schools on a long-term basis for September 2020.
As a Mathematics Intervention Teacher, you will be supporting children across Key Stage 3 and 4 with tailored intervention programmes. You will communicate with the regular subject teacher and Head of Department identifying students who will benefit from the additional support. You will devise and deliver intervention programmes in line with the Mathematics curriculum and will also be responsible for assessment. You could be teaching on a 1:1 basis, however it is anticipated that you will work with small “bubbles” of children.
Supply Desk has identified that minimum requirements for this role are:
- UK experience and/or experience in long-term positions with similar age groups
- QTS/QTLS or relevant degree
- Passion for Teaching and Learning
- Able to provide two years’ worth of employment references
