About the role:

Supply Desk are working with an excellent Secondary School based close to Andover that are seeking a full time Maths teacher to start from January on a long term contract with the possibility of the school making the position permanent. The School are looking for an excellent Maths teacher that comes with good recent experience teaching Maths in Secondary School and has good subject knowledge and behaviour management skills. You will have full responsibilities such as planning and marking, and will have full support from the Maths department. The school are looking for a fully qualified Maths teacher, with experience teaching in the UK. The school will also strongly consider strong NQT’s for Maths that come with good subject knowledge. You will be required to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4!

The school based close to Andover is a highly successful secondary school with very good examination results, an excellent range of extracurricular activities and a strong ethos of good behaviour. They have been rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted as of 2018 and were praised on their support for disadvantaged children and those with Special needs.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have recent experience teaching in UK Schools
  • Be a committed team player
  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Be confident and adaptive to different environments
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Have either NQT or QTS status
  • Specialism in Maths
