Physics Teacher Required

Supply Desk are a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Secondary, Primary and SEN education. We place our teaching staff in day-to-day and long-term placements in an extensive number of English and Welsh medium schools across Cardiff, Newport and the valleys. We are currently looking to recruit a Physics teacher to teach up to GCSE at a thriving secondary school in the centre of Cardiff. The post is full-time to begin in January and will run until at least the end of the academic year. The school has been rated ‘Good’ in their most recent Estyn inspection and there is strong emphasis across the school on inclusivity and individual success. The school is very easily accessible by car, train or bus.

Your role as a Physics teacher would be planning and teaching lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring that pupils received a consistently high standard of education. You will need excellent classroom management skills and a thorough knowledge of the current National Curriculum. You will encourage positive pupil development and monitor pupil’s progression.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience teaching in a secondary school
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • QTS
  • EWC registration or willing to apply
  • Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
