Teaching Assistant close the Gosport area

Starting January 2025

Salary: £78-£90 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Part-time temporary, potential for permanent role

About the role: This role is a Primary TA role in a school in the Gosport area. You will be working part-time, starting September 2024. The role also has the opportunity to become permanent.

About the School:

The Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school is based close to the Gosport area for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1000 students in total. The school prides itself on its high teaching standards as well as a friendly and enthusiastic team who collaborate on all aspects of teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

–          Work with teachers to develop and deliver engaging lessons across different subjects.

–          Provide personalised support to individual students or small groups, including those with special educational needs.

–          Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters learning.

–          Help in the development of educational materials and resources.

–          Aid the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a respectful, well-organised environment.

–          Assist in tracking and assessing student progress.

Requirements:

–          Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.

–          Experience working with SEN students is beneficial.

–          A strong passion for education and helping students grow academically and personally.

–          Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

–          Capability to work well both collaboratively and independently.

–          Patience, adaptability, and a positive approach to challenges.

Qualifications:

–          Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

–          Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
