Do you have a passion for reading? Do you want to gain more school based experience? Would you like training on a specific programme that promises better reading outcomes for children? If so, then Supply Desk Manchester are here to help you with our new Love to Read programme.
Driven by the shocking statistic that roughly 1 in 5 (20%) of school aged children are unable to read, Supply Desk are proudly introducing their new reading scheme aimed at primary and secondary aged children.
Supply Desk Havering are currently working with a number of Secondary Schools in the Havering area to provide teaching assistants to deliver specific reading intervention programmes on a 1:1 and small group basis. The programme will offer training to any candidate and as such, make the positions of reading specialist teaching assistant available to people with little or no prior experience of working in a school.
- Supporting GCSE pupils with reading and English
- Full time – 5 days per week
- Delivering a specific reading programme with proven success
- Make a difference to children’s reading confidence and behaviour as a result
- September 2018 start date
- Variety of Secondary Schools within the Havering area
- Numerous positions available from September 2021.
- Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Based in supportive English departments
