Supply Desk are delighted to introduce their new “Love 2 Read” scheme which will be launching in time for the Feb 19 term. Driven by the shocking statistic that roughly 1 in 5 (20%) of school-aged children are unable to read, Supply Desk are proudly introducing their new reading scheme aimed at primary and secondary aged children.
Do you have a passion for reading? Do you want to gain more school-based experience? Would you like training on a specific programme that promises better reading outcomes for children? If so, then Supply Desk Manchester are here to help you with their new “Love 2 Read” scheme.
This role will involve working in primary schools supporting Year 7 pupils on a 1:1 basis with their English, building up to Year 7 SATS. This is ideal for someone who is wanting a stepping stone into teaching or an experienced teaching assistant who wants to use their skills and experience to engage pupils in improving their reading.
Experience of supporting young people in an education setting is essential however training will be provided on improving pupil’s reading. You must have at least a grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE.
