SEN Teaching Assistant- Oldham
A Primary School in Oldham have come to Supply Desk with a view to finding a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil recently diagnosed with Autism year 2. The pupil is non-verbal due to their autism but is said to be academic and bright when completing work with assistance of an adult.
- Work 1:1 with Year 2 Pupil diagnosed with ASC
- Encourage learning both in the classroom and outside the classroom
- Use PECS to build confidence of the pupil.
- Complete a daily ‘Outcomes’ chart to ensure progression
- Guaranteed work until summer as a minimum
The school is a two form entry school at the heart of the community and has been graded good by OFSTED with specific praise for the Senior Leadership team. As part of this role you will be expected to work 1:1 with the pupil both in the classroom to help integration in to a more social environment as well as working in a Sensory room.
The successful candidate will have experience using PECs and also have experience working with Special educational needs.
