SEN Teaching Assistant

Got Team Teach experience?
If so, Supply Desk are working in conjunction with several SEN Schools based across East Sussex, whom are looking to recruit a number of Behaviour Mentors, 1:1 Support Mentors and TAs.
The schools cater across Primary, Secondary and Post 16 phases. They are specifically looking for individuals who have experience working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Aggression, youth offenders, Attachment Disorder and LAC backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Passionate about children’s learning and every child achieving their potential
- Have lots of energy, enthusiasm and patience
- Must have experience working with extremely challenging behaviour, SEMH, ADHD, Attachment disorder and LAC backgrounds.
- Flexible and can work well within a team
- Have experience of working with children with a variety of needs and from a range of different backgrounds
- Can show resilience in challenging situations
- Understand the need for confidentiality
Qualification/ Training:
- Team Teach Certificate- Desirable but not necessary
- SEND experience is desirable but not essential for all positions
- You would be responsible for supporting the teacher and helping the pupils (groups and 1:1 basis)
- Working alone or in a team towards objectives set for each student

To be eligible for this role you must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
Experienced TAs/LSAs, support workers, security, children’s secure provision practitioners, ex-prison service officers, ex-social workers, as well as sports coaches will be considered for these roles.
