SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN TA/LSA – Full-time/Part-time – East Sussex – SEMH/ASD
Supply Desk have found that Graduates in Psychology, Sports and Drama have made excellent learning support and teaching assistants in special needs schools and pupil referral units.
Within the role of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant (TA) you will be supporting children or young adults in the class room or on a one to one basis, helping them access the curriculum and helping them engage during the school day.
We have found people with either a Psychology, Sports or Drama degree often have good emotional resilience and emotional intelligence, with a natural understanding of how to help support SEN students on a 1:1 basis and group basis.
We are looking for graduates who are passionate about helping the younger minds develop and progress within their education. Giving them the support to build on their confidence and channel their focus. This can be achieved by using different methods and skills, where Supply desk offer a variety of training and workshops to help you upskill in these areas.
