We are currently searching for SEN Teaching Assistants for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 roles who are looking for a role in January, based in Monmouthshire and the surrounding areas.

As an SEN Teaching Assistants for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 you would be expected to cover any of these age groups, however we will always take into consideration your preferences and specialism.

Needs can vary from ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, EBD/SEMH and various other conditions.

 Roles can vary from day to day cover, short term or long term. Whether you are looking for a full time, part time or flexible role, we would love to hear from you and help you to progress forward in your career.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • EWC registration or willing to apply
  • Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the child on a one to one basis in all lessons
  • Tailoring lesson plans to the child’s needs and academic abilities
  • Working closely with the Teacher in order to offer the best support to the child
  • Attending meetings with the SENCo and Occupational Therapists and working towards Educational Healthcare Plans to ensure the child meets targets set
  • You will also be required to support groups of children within the class with their academic attainment where necessary and report back to the class teacher on the progress of the pupils.
