Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 9:00- 15:30
Supply Desk is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work five days per week in a large SEN Maintained school in Durham. The role will require you to support students with MLD, SLD and PMLD across KS1-KS5. The School is a very vibrant and happy environment, with very supportive leaders.
The Durham School Supply Desk are recruiting for is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’. It is a SEN school which is a Local Authority Maintained Community School and Further Education Unit for pupils aged 4-19. The students have physical disabilities, complex medical needs, complex speech and language difficulties and associated learning difficulties, moderate (MLD), severe (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
The school is very welcoming and community-based. Everyone works together to ensure the student get the best support and care. The mission and values of the school show throughout and create an outstanding environment for both the students and the staff. The school have ground-breaking facilities to cater for their PMLD, SLD and MLD students.
Full-time Teaching Assistant in a SEN School – Start ASAP
Supply Desk is recruiting a passionate teaching assistant with a passion to support SEN students in Durham.You will be supporting students aged 4-19 with PMLD, MLD and SLD.
• Happy to provide personal care with support
• Completed Manual Handling Training
• Ability to learn new skills, accept guidance and follow instructions from teachers.
• Good hygiene practice
• Passionate and committed care teaching assistant to support SEND students with PMLD, SLD and MLD.
• Enhanced DBS on the updates service required, or happy to apply for one.
