The ideal candidates need to have:
– Experience of challenging behaviour AND/OR knowledge and/or experience of SEN
– experience in a care or educational setting that they can build upon
– a sense of humour
– the ability to build rapport
Supply Desk are looking for people with knowledge and/or experience of SEN to join several of the schools that we are working with across the Greater Manchester area on a 1:1 basis or small group basis.
As an SEN teaching assistant you will be working on a 1:1 basis with children in primary schools with a variety of Special Educational Needs such as: autism, physical disabilities, EAL, downs syndrome, learning difficulties, attachment difficulties and global delay. You will be expected to work closely with the pupil in order to raise their academic attainment and ensure that you plan and carry out engaging lessons for them.
