A Teaching Assistant opportunity has become available in a primary school in the Buckinghamshire area. The school is looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching assistant with transferrable skills or previous experience to support pupils with barriers to learning who display challenging behaviour. Whilst supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis, as a teaching assistant, you would be expected to show a calm, caring and nurturing approach as building positive relationships is key to contributing to improving behaviour within school.
The school is located in the North Buckinghamshire area and due to an increase in the number of children displaying behavioural challenges so far this academic year, the special needs co-ordinator wants to interview and recruit a teaching assistant as soon as possible. If you are a graduate of Psychology/ child development or similar, come from a profession with transferrable skills such as police or you have experience of working with children with challenging behaviours through social work or care work, you would be welcomed to apply for the role.
