Teaching Assistant
Primary Teaching Assistant / LSA – Weston-super-Mare
Supply Desk are a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Secondary, Primary and SEN education. We are currently working with a primary school in Weston-super-Mare to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to implement our reading intervention programme, Love 2 Read, starting in September 2021. Love 2 Read has been shown to improve a child’s reading age by 2 years across a 10 week programme. You will be fully trained in Love 2 Read and for the right candidate, the role will continue across the academic year.
This role would be suitable for a graduate who is looking to gain experience working in schools, or an experienced teaching assistant who is experienced in delivering 1:1 interventions. You will need to be a passionate teaching assistant who strives to guide children of all abilities to reach their full potential and have a good level of spoken and written English and Maths. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with young people and make a difference in their education.
What you’ll need to succeed
- School based experience in a teaching assistant role desirable
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply
