Teaching Assistants Required in Arundel.

Are you ready for a new challenge supporting children and young people?

I am looking for 3 enthusiastic individuals to join a warm and welcoming School for young people with specific needs based in Arundel, West Sussex. The school encourages independent thinking, postive learning and adaptability and works with a creative and innovative curriculum.

Role: Fulltime

Start: ASAP

Salary: £14500-19500pa (dependent on qualifications and TA level)

Job Description…                                                                

  • To complement and support the teachers’ delivery of the school curriculum and contribute to the development of students

  • Work collaboratively with teachers in managing and encouraging students to become independent learners, supporting their welfare and their emotional and behavioral development.    

  • Supporting pupils’ learning and development in and out of the classroom

  • To develop and prepare resources for lessons and other activities in line with IEP’s and lesson plans.  

  • Encouraging positive pupil development
  • Maintaining discipline and encouraging good behaviour

Person Specification…

  • 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English A-C (or level 2 equivalent); Additional qualifications to A level or Level 3 equivalent 

  • Experiences such as working with children with SEMH

  • Passionate about supporting children’s learning 

  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • You must be creative and organised with excellent time management
  • To be able to forge and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, young people and their families as well as other professional organisations.
