Are you a qualified, passionate, and committed Primary Teacher living near Gillingham? An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school are looking for a confident Year 6 teacher to join their team from January until the end of the academic year.

This large and vibrant school is expanding its Year 6 cohort to ensure smaller class sizes, providing an excellent opportunity for focused teaching and support to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, inspiring lessons tailored to Upper Key Stage 2, ensuring that all children are both supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Adapt provided lesson plans and resources to suit the specific needs of the class.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents.
  • Prepare Year 6 pupils for their end-of-key-stage assessments and support their smooth transition to secondary school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s wider community and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Confidence in supporting Year 6 pupils academically, emotionally, and socially.
