  • Lachlan Beech, Australian teaching in LeedsThe Leeds team at Supply Desk have been incredibly helpful during my time working in schools in the UK. I was lucky enough to come over with my brother and a friend, who both went through the agency as well. They walked us through all the nitty-gritty paperwork pre-departure, picked us up from the airport upon arrival, transported us to our initial accommodation, and even advised us where we could get a good meal. They allowed me the time I needed to settle in, such as setting myself up with a bank account, and finding permanent accommodation before organising interviews for potential job opportunities at various schools. The team were very thorough and helpful in finding me suitable work that utilised my experience while being very considerate of finding suitable schools close by, in order to lessen my travel time to and from work.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is considering teaching over in the UK, especially in Leeds. The incentives and flexibility in work arrangements that the company offer will suit anyone’s circumstances, whether you would like to work full-time and build bank, or go the casual supply route and travel around the UK & Europe.

  • Supply Desk Teacher MeganI just wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for me over the past couple months! Before I came here to Bucks I did not have the best school or support from my previous agency up in Nottingham. Therefore my confidence was at a low. After speaking with Nav and realizing that there were other schools much better, I first didn’t believe you, but realized I wasn’t ready to go home. I am so glad that you were able to convince me to stay in England for the full year. If it wasn’t for your endless search to find me the best fit I would have gone home discouraged and had a bad opinion of teaching and possibly not pursued it further. For that I am truly thankful and grateful for everything you have done!

Now I must return home, and because of all my UK teaching experience I was able to land a teaching job in Canada. I couldn’t be happier to have received the position! Thank you for everything you have done for me.

  • Jess is a teacher in Bucks, UKWorking with Nav (in the Bucks office) was incredible not just because he got me a job (!), but because of the value he places on his relationships with the people he works with. Not only did he take the time to get to know me, but it was instantly apparent that he has an in-depth knowledge of the schools in his area. When Nav told me about a vacancy I wasn't just left to the school's website and Ofsted reports to find information out. He told me the things you can't get from a website - what the Head was like, how the school is regarded in the community, and his knowledge of their philosophy after years of working with them. When you're trying to find a job from the other side of the world, this kind of first-hand insight is priceless. I worked with several agencies when I was job hunting but can honestly say Nav was the one to place me because he was the BEST.
