Supply Desk Doubles the Fun: ‘Fun-Day Fundraiser’ for BBC Children in Need

In the spirit of philanthropy and community, Supply Desk arranged a fun initiative to raise funds for BBC Children in Need across all offices in the South of the UK.

As a company, we hosted individual office ‘Fun Day Fundraisers,’ turning a regular workday into a celebration of generosity and camaraderie.

Fancy Dress Extravaganza:

One of the highlights of the day was the Fancy Dress competition which saw employees trading in their professional attire for whimsical costumes. From Pudsey bears to break-dancers, each office showed off their costume creativity. Our recruitment consultant Tash, from Supply Desk Brighton, won the Fancy Dress competition with her incredible (and very real) Fireman costume!

Team Lunches:

To fuel the day’s festivities, Supply Desk treated employees to team lunches. Sharing a meal with the teams across the offices created an atmosphere of solidarity, reinforcing the idea that coming together for a common cause can be both enjoyable and meaningful.

Raffle for a Cause:

A standout feature of Supply Desk’s fundraising efforts was the chance for employees to purchase a £10 ticket to enter the Supply Desk raffle. The anticipation of winning a grand prize added an element of excitement to the day, encouraging widespread participation. The generous spirit of those who bought tickets contributed significantly to the overall fundraising total.

The Big Prize and Gratitude:

The climax of the Fun Day Fundraiser was the announcement of the raffle’s grand prize. Specialist recruitment consultant Tyler, the lucky winner, received not only an Amazon Gift voucher but also the satisfaction of knowing his contribution to the charity would make a positive impact on the lives of children supported by BBC Children in Need.

Supply Desk’s initiative to support BBC Children in Need through individual office ‘Fun Day Fundraisers’ demonstrates the power of collective giving and the impact a company can have on its community. By creating opportunities for employees to come together in the name of charity, our company managed to raise a total of £370 after Supply Desk matched the money that our teams raised! This is all thanks to the collective efforts of Supply Desk’s South UK offices.
