Are you organised, reliable, and confident with administration? We are seeking a friendly and efficient Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and providing professional support to staff, pupils, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the school and wider staff team.
- Manage general office duties, including emails, telephone calls, filing, photocopying, and correspondence.
- Act as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for parents, carers, pupils, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil and school records.
- Support with attendance administration, including monitoring and recording pupil attendance and following up on absences where required.
- Assist with the preparation of letters, reports, documents, and school communications.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensure information is distributed appropriately.
- Support with school events, meetings, appointments, and general diary management.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive pupil, parent, and staff information.
- Liaise professionally with parents, carers, external agencies, and other professionals.
- Support the wider school team with administrative tasks as required.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection requirements.
Requirements
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems.
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
- A good understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
