Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 experience welcomed.
- Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
- Promote an appreciation of the French language and culture through interactive, engaging learning experiences.
- Plan purposeful, well-structured lessons that challenge and support all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
- Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the broader work of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
- Support enrichment activities such as language clubs, cultural events, exchange programmes, and educational trips.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching French in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for language learning.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Confident classroom management and effective communication skills.
- A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
