Geography Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term Position
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
We are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Borehamwood to recruit a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
• Plan and teach lessons that develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography
• Encourage critical thinking around global issues such as climate change, sustainability, and population
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Support students in GCSE preparation, coursework, and revision strategies
• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with the Humanities department
• Encourage participation in enrichment activities such as fieldwork and geography clubs
Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred but not essential)
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography
• Passionate about inspiring students and promoting global awareness
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A creative and engaging teaching style
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
