Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned lessons and lead whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities across the curriculum.
• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups to support pupil progress.
• Work with pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND, adapting support to meet individual requirements.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress, provide feedback to teaching staff, and contribute to assessment and record keeping.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support learning and wellbeing.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or significant experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary school setting.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading whole-class sessions and delivering interventions.
• A proactive, flexible and positive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
• A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
