Position: KS2 Teacher
Location: Alfriston, East Sussex
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time (Long-Term)
Hours: 08:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £130–£135 per day (Paid to scale if PPA responsibilities are included)

About the Role
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Alfriston is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term position expected to continue until the end of the academic year.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing school environment, delivering engaging lessons and making a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development. It would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons for KS2 pupils
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain high teaching standards
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in UK primary schools (KS2 preferred)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
