About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled PE Teacher to join our team from September 26. This long-term role involves teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy living. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, organising sports activities, and contributing to the wider school sports programme.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality PE lessons across a variety of sports and fitness disciplines

Inspire and motivate students to develop physical skills and an appreciation for health and fitness

Prepare lesson plans, monitor progress, and assess student performance

Organise extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school teams

Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
Requirements:

Previous experience teaching PE at secondary school level

Excellent knowledge of the PE curriculum and sports coaching techniques

Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

A commitment to promoting active lifestyles and positive values through sport

Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach
Qualifications:

A degree in Physical Education or a related field

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential

Additional coaching qualifications are desirable
