About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hertfordshire from September 2026. This is a full-time position teaching Year 2, where you will have the opportunity to inspire young learners and make a lasting impact on their academic and personal development.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and creative lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting all children to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
• Experience teaching within KS1, particularly Year 2, is desirable
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
