About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September. This is a full-time position within Key Stage 2, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on pupils as they transition into lower KS2.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a love of learning, and ensuring all pupils make strong academic and personal progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported through their induction
- Experience teaching within KS2 (Year 3 experience desirable)
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
