Primary teaching assistant SEND
Basingstoke
Full Time | November 2nd 2026 – July 2027
£92-£100 per day
Hours: 08:15am – 3:15pm
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Support a child with nuero diverse needs in Year 3
- Has experience working with diverse and complex needs
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Illustarte excellent safeguarding knowledge
- Demonstrate empathy, patience and a strong understanding of SEND to meet individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
- Help children achieve their academic, social and emotional targets and celebrate their progress

The Role
- Supporting mainly 1:1 with a child who will need 2 teaching assistants to support safeguarding concerns
- Delivering targeted interventions to support academic and social development.
- Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement individual support strategies.
- Helping children develop confidence, resilience and independence.
- Supporting learning across phonics, reading, writing and mathematics.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Full-time, long-term position from November 2026 until at least January 2027
