The Role
You will inspire students through engaging, practical, and thought-provoking Science lessons, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while building confidence in scientific enquiry.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics that challenge and motivate students
- Develop students’ practical skills by planning safe and engaging laboratory activities
- Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with a wide range of abilities and learning styles
- Analyse assessment data to identify next steps and implement effective intervention strategies
- Encourage scientific curiosity through STEM activities, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular clubs
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation in lessons
- Work closely with colleagues to contribute to departmental initiatives and curriculum development
About You
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching welcomed but not essential
- Passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists
- Confident in delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons
- A collaborative practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills
