Trauma informed 1:1 Teaching Assistant – SWay
Pay: £85-95 per day
Contract: Short term – 7 weeks from June 1st – July 22nd
Learning Support Assistant Role required in the New Milton Area for an ASAP Start
This is a warm and nurturing infant environment that places strong emphasis on early learning, emotional development and building children’s confidence from the very start of their school journey. Staff work closely with families, creating a supportive atmosphere where young learners feel secure, valued and ready to explore new ideas.
About the Role:
- Working 1:1 with a child with an EHCP
- Have knowledge of Trauma informed practice
- Be patient, empathetic but be able to give clear and consistent boundaries
- Experience of working with children
- Be happy working with children aged 4-6
Duties include:
- Helping with pupils learning and development
- Supervising pupils in the playground, dining hall, cloakrooms and in class
- Keeping records of each pupil’s progress against EHCP targets
- Assisting with their health and hygiene
- Helping students develop life skills and mentoring them to have a positive outlook
- Be able to adapt resources to meet children’s individual needs
