About the Role

Do you have a passion for making a positive difference to the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs? Supply Desk are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Cuddington.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of pupils. You will work closely with colleagues and wider professionals to support pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development, helping them to build confidence and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and provide consistent support for their individual learning and development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse abilities and learning needs of pupils.
• Support pupils with Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
• Use a range of differentiated resources, interventions and teaching strategies to support learning, engagement and participation.
• Establish clear routines and a structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour, confidence and engagement.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, contributing to EHCP targets, individual learning plans and personalised support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, carers, therapists and other professionals involved in pupil support.
• Encourage pupils to develop their communication, social interaction, independence and life skills.
• Support the emotional wellbeing and personal development of pupils through a patient, compassionate and nurturing approach.

Requirements

• Passionate about delivering high-quality, inclusive education and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Experience or understanding of supporting pupils with Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and/or Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
• Committed to supporting pupils academically, socially, emotionally and in their personal development.
• A confident and adaptable classroom practitioner who can differentiate learning to meet a range of individual needs and abilities.
• A strong communicator who works effectively as part of a wider school and support team.
• Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Professional, patient, reliable and resilient in their approach to teaching and supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported.
• Committed to helping pupils achieve their individual potential while developing their confidence, independence, communication and life skills.
