Salary: £29,344 – £53,195 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring all pupils receive appropriate support and intervention.
- Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop inclusive teaching practices and effective interventions.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to staff regarding SEND strategies and best practice.
- Coordinate annual reviews, assessments, referrals, and communication with external agencies.
- Monitor the progress of pupils with SEND and ensure support plans are effective and outcome-focused.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to pupil support.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant statutory requirements.
- Contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives, promoting an inclusive culture across the school.
- Manage and deploy SEND resources effectively to maximise pupil outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
- Previous experience working within a SENCO or SEND leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, and safeguarding requirements.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience liaising with parents, carers, local authorities, and external professionals.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and support colleagues in delivering high-quality SEND provision.
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide professional references.
