Salary: £14 – £16 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Full time 08:30 – 4:30

About the Role
We are seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to support a brand-new nursery provision the Southampton area. This role is long-term with the potential to be permanent. You would need experience of being in a nursery school and supporting infants and babies with their first steps in learning and would need a level 3 CACHE award to support with the ratio of children to adults.
About the school:
A brand-new nursery set up in an Ofsted Good rated school. The Nursery comprises of 4 classrooms and supports babies from the age of 9 months up to pre-school children. The nursery is fully resourced for outdoor play, exploration, communication and new learning experiences. The school currently uses Tapestry as its assessment log of children’s achievements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting infants and babies in small group activities
- Being creative and modelling conversations and skills
- Supporting children in their first English and maths steps
- Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
- Adapting resources and learning to support those that need extra support
- A level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience of working in a nursery setting
- Some experience using tapestry would be an advantage
- An empathetic approach that fosters self-belief and confidence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
